Single-family housing in the Trillà

The proposal of the architect Pere Espuga, is to be able to integrate a house in a mountainous and residential environment, playing with the unevenness created by the terrain itself.

The house consists of approximately 1180 m2, distributed on three levels.

It takes advantage of the unevenness created by the topography itself, to grow in height only two levels and thus be able to reduce the visual impact. The lower level is left at the lowest level of the terrain. On this floor we can find the garage, an installation room, a relaxation area and a pool that opens to the lower garden.

The busiest areas located on the two upper floors, making the most of natural light from outside. On the upper level, the warmest area of the house, there is a living room, a suite and a study. The double space connects the two upper levels of the house, allowing a very pleasant light circulation. On the ground floor most of the functional program is developed, consisting of a dining room, open kitchen, services, rest area and an office.

The particularity of this project is the integration of natural materials, such as wood and stone, with other materials such as steel and glass. It is played with the contrast of all elements, student at all times the best options to create absolute comfort throughout the house.

The geometric shapes, the slopes and the set of materials, the combination of all these factors make the house integrated with its surroundings.
